Virhaddon threw himself backwards, crashing to deck while bringing the pistol up to fire between the knees of his armour.
He watched as the Night Lord seemed to flow to the side, impossibly fast even for a Space Marine, each of Usker’s perfectly aimed shots somehow missing by a hairsbreadth.
